I found that it takes training and real coordination of content to make thing happen.

I have worked with Maria Bereket for over eight years training Montessori and Reggio Inspired educators on the Importance of “Documentation in Learning.” Maria’s insights into the “design and branding” of the process were so helpful, and I enjoyed how she was able to teach complex concepts in a simple and sometimes humorous way.
Her Social Media Training was often met with resistance since educators are focused on their programs, privacy, and the kids they benefit–not on posting and tweeting! What we all learned was that this kind of “outbound” marketing is so important for educators and their schools because this is where this new, younger generation of parents are looking for information on our programs.
She has helped my center many times to design and coordinate our materials to the new social media applications we were using. We got our Facebook account up and running, trained the teachers on taking better pictures and assisting me with the content we needed to post. We started a newsletter alongside our parents “daily page, ” and the combination of all of these pieces reached across the globe – in one case it reached a relocating parent from Europe who was searching for programs, read our blog and then enrolled her children; and in another a grandparent overseas contacted me after our newsletter was shared on Facebook. She loved our program and wanted to make a donation to our PTO!
Every program hopes that their social media posting will bring in more enrollment, but I found that it takes training and real coordination of the type of content to make that happen.
Maria was invaluable to us in creating posts and content that resonated with families coming into our area. My only regret is that I didn’t have her come in sooner thinking that what we were posting was sufficient. I discovered that we needed a strategy and still need occasional coaching and training to keep our content engaging and bringing in families. I highly recommend her as a trainer and consultant.
